Tulips Tulips Everywhere!!!

Sorry guys I always forget and post it backwards, so scroll down a couple posts and start reading there.

It's been confirmed... she is definitely glowing!!

And we had fun giving TeeJay some practice with the kiddos. He even carried Abby around in the baby carrier in La Conner. And the boys were completely taken by him, they were at his heels everywhere we went. He is going to be a GREAT DAD!!

Abby loved playing in the Tulip Rows, we kept trying to get her to smell the flowers but she was too busy just trying to stay on her feet with that uneven ground.

Noah had new rainboots and I promised him that he could wear them in the tulip fields. Unfortunately it was NOT at all rainy this weekend. But thank goodness he did find one or two puddles, and got to break in those rainboots of his.

Bet you can't guess what Gabriel liked the best about the Tulips? RACING down the rows of course!!!

shops in La Conner

Next we stopped in La Conner to see the shops. Michelle and I had a great time taking pictures. Jason drove around and helped us find the perfect spot for taking pics of the bridge. I will post some of them on my portfolio blog another day.

Holland Happening

This weekend we were so blessed to have a visit from our cousins that live closer to the Seattle area. Our first stop for the weekend was The Holland Happening. It was a festival that takes place in Oak Harbor to Honor the Dutch Heritage of this area.
We browsed the venders there and stayed for a small town parade. It was a bit nippy at first so Abby got to snuggle down in mommy's jacket. I bought Abigail some wooden clogs while we were there. I bought the plain kind so that I can paint them myself. After that we ate a yummy meal at Island Cafe and then we headed over to La Conner.

Smoosh Smooooooch!

We all got so tickled at Abby the other day. I put her up on he bed beside me so that I could watch the boys on the playground. She immediately smooshed her face up on the screen, and she sat just like that for the longest time just watching the boys. Well who could pass up that smooshy face for a kiss. Abby is very stingy with her kisses but apparently she thought a smooshy smooch was just as funny as we did. And she gave daddy lots and lots of smooshy smooches!!!

Pigtails and Daffodils

The tulips are a little late this year so our first trip to see the tulips we saw lots and lots of daffodils!!! They were beautiful. Oh, and I was so excited that even with Abby's fine little hair she has just enough for pigtails!!! Isn't she cute, I love having a baby girl!

Easter Eggs

I wanted so badly to make this Easter great for the kids even though we aren't in our house yet, but MY plans were one by one thrown to the wayside. Even so, it turned out to be a great Easter. I had Easter outfits all picked out for the kiddos and the Easter bunny was supposed to bring new shoes for everyone as the big surprise, but mommy got caught giving the Easter bunny suggestions... so mommy had to buy the shoes and the Easter bunny had to come up with different plans ;) Easter morning we woke up to a down pour. Abby couldn't wear her pretty dress because it was too cold, and the boys had to cover up their new shirts with rain jackets. So mommy started off the morning in a really fowl mood, but daddy made it all better with a trip to a new restaurant for a great breakfast!! Then we got to church and after church was to be the Easter egg hunt. Mommy thought that it would be after church was dismissed so I left the camera in the car. But they started the hunts one by one while we were sitting there, all the kids were in different age groups and in different rooms so I only got to see Noah and Abby hunt, and daddy got to see Gabey hunt. Daddy popped out the camera phone so we could get SOME pics. But the kids had so much fun!!! On the way home mommy got upset over my lack of Easter dinner in the camper....Daddy to the rescue again... he went to the market and bought meatloaf, fruit salad, cole slaw, and potato salad from the deli. We stopped at blockbuster and grabbed a movie. And went back home and ate a yummy Easter dinner while listening to the rain on the camper roof... and then we cuddled up real close around the t.v. to watch a movie. We had to snuggle up close because the rain was soooooo loud we couldn't hear the movie, haha! So after a crazy day that wasn't all I had hoped, I realized that it turned out to be a fabulous day anyway... with the help of a resourceful daddy!!!

The Toothfairy's visit

Well the toothfairy finally has a reason to visit the ehlenberger household. Gabriel lost his first tooth the day before Easter. Which of course meant that the Easter bunny and the toothfairy BOTH visited our house in one night!!! The toothfairy brought him 5 dollars.... because it was his very first tooth. And the Easter bunny brought 1 dollar for both of the boys. After that I heard nothing but "can we go to the store mommy???" Apparently I waited too long for Noah, the dollar LITERALLY burned a hole in his pocket and fell out, in other words... he lost it. But Gabriel kept up with his money and we went to the store. He bought a package of glowing stars and a package of popsicle sticks (for building and inventing, of course). And for all of you that are feeliing sorry for Noah because he lost his dough, no worries... he has a loose tooth too, haha!!

Found Treasures

We found lots of treasure at the beach, but in the end we decided that it would be best to leave our treasures so that other kids could find them too ;)

Abby thought this Crab might taste yummy, eek.... not this one Abby!

Cliffside Beach

We had a few days of driving daddy around because he had a dentist appt. that left him hurting, so they put him on pain meds. One afternoon during some in between time we took daddy over to the beach because he hadn't been yet. Once again it was spur of the moment and I didn't have my camera. I know, I know a photographer should always have their camera. But when you carry around diaperbag, stroller, coats, purse, hats, library books, ect.. you feel like putting one more bag in the car would be ridiculous. Anyway, daddy saved the day once again by having his apple phone handy for pics.

STRANDED!!! just kidding, this was an area that was a bit higher and as the tide came in it mad a sort of peninsula before it filled up.

She was crying because the water touched her feet and it was COLD!

It was lots of fun to get my feet in the sand though.

First Trip to Seattle and the Pacific Science Museum

Last weekend we took a trip down to Seattle. We did a military bus trip. It was really great to be able to relax and not worry about traffic or parking. We just rode and watched a movie on the way there and on the way back.

Roaches...ewwww!! This was the insect exhibit at the Science Center. They also had a butterfly forest which was so cool. And of coarse Noah had a blast putting together the big Ant puzzle. Actually I think that was both of the boys favorite part of that exhibit they would have stayed there longer if mommy had let them.

They had a special showing of reptiles. Lots and lots of snakes that we could touch and a big ole' tortoise

Noah and Gabriel got to try on a Dinosaur footprint in the Dinosaur hall. We also saw a T-Rex Skull and we made it chomp its big teeth.

I couldn't take pictures but they had a peek into their first planetarium. It was really small but it was just perfect for their first experience. I can't wait to take them to a big planetarium, they will be amazed. And lastly we got to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3-D. We had so much fun, and I don't think we had more than a couple of times when the boys had to be disciplined they were very well behaved for the whole trip!!

Space Needle

When we first got up there Noah was a bit nervous with the heights. Which really isn't like him, but this was a bit higher than the usual, haha. This is the nervous grin he gave me when I was trying to get him to stand beside the rail so I could take a picture

Our New House in WA

Well as you can see it is isn't quite finished yet. We are living in our camper until May 22 or hopefully sooner if it gets done early... crossing my fingers!!!

Found a Ball!!

While we were at the Children's Museum Abby found a ball and discovered that she could throw it. She got so excited. I wish I had remembered my camera, but thank goodness for camera phones I was still able to capture the moment :)
