Gingerbread Houses

Well this is my first experience with trying to make a gingerbread house with the boys. It was actually quite comical and a lot of fun. Our Peninsula mommies group decided to get together and make gingerbread houses for a playdate. So about 7 of us brought our babies to Shyan's house, and Shyan was nice enough to make the house pieces with a mold before we came. All we had to do was put it together. Or so we thought. 7 mommies 8 toddlers and 4 babies. And while the mom's were trying hold our walls steady and wait for the icing to dry our kids were running wild thru Shyan's house. It was really funny, it took forever to get the houses to stand up, and some of us didn't even manage that. And after all that effort most of us didn't even want the kids to touch them to decorate them. I have proof that mine was standing and decorated, but by the time I got home the roof had slid off. Oh Well, it was a fun experience that I will always remember!!

Hampton Holly Days Parade

Well we got our boys all bundled up, and went to the parade. I am glad we did, it was nice to get out of the house for a bit. Especially since we have had colds all week, and some of us still have them, yuck!!! The marching bands were our favorite, Noah seemed to like the firedogs, he waved at them when they went past. And the kid behind us seemed to like the taste of our stroller, LOL!!!

We went to the Hampton Holly days Christmas Parade last night. The boys had so much fun. And the Drum Major made a big impression on Gabriel. So when we got home, it was a parade all over again before bedtime.

Thanksgiving at Our House

Well this was the first time we had Thanksgiving at our house. We were very excited to have family here, but I can't say it went off without a hitch. The meal was good, and so were the guests, but the hosts on the other hand were pretty miserable. THE STOMACH BUG of the century decided to take a run thru our house during our thanksgiving weekend. I spent the whole weekend worrying over the inevitable which was that we were going to give THE STOMACH BUG to our guests. Which of course WE DID, even after all of my diligent cleaning. But stomach bug aside, we enjoyed our family and had a good time together.

Gamers in Training

Daddy got Gabriel and Noah a new game to play. It is a race car game like the movie cars. They had so much fun racing with Lightning McQueen and Tractor tipping with Mater.

Carolina Horseshoeing Conference

Well I couldn't do all that talk about the conference and not post a few pics. So here are a few pics of the conference. It was a great experience to do photography for an event. And I am so glad that he gave me the opportunity.

Dupont State Park

After the conference was over Stacy treated Mom and I to a trip to Dupont State Park. We went on a van tour of the water falls. They were beautiful and so were the changing leaves. In case you don't know, you can double click on the pics for a larger view. And you must get a better look at the last pic of the boys. Noah's face is priceless!!

Leaves in NC

Once again I am trying to catch up. Yall know I take pictures non stop!! Well, I was home a couple of weeks ago, helping my brother with his horseshoeing conference. Of course he gave me the best job of all, TAKING PICTURES!! I had so much fun. And of course I couldn't put the camera down after the conference. These are some pics of the boys playing at Uncle Stacy's house.

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

Well, actually Grandma and Grandpa stopped by before halloween. But I couldn't get these pics to post earlier, so I am just now posting them. They only got to stop by for a bit, but it was really fun to show off our new house. The boys got to sit and read a book with Grandma, and they got to tussle with Grandpa, and that is all that really matters right.

Trick or Treat

We had such fun this halloween. We carved our pumpkin, went to a halloween party, and mommy made the costumes. On halloween night Daddy handed out candy while I took the boys trick or treating, we went down one little culdesac and by the time we finished they were tired of walking and done trick or treating. I guess we will have to work on expanding our territory next year, haha! But they got plenty of candy. And Mommy handed out candy for the rest of the night. It was really nice, sitting on my porch swing with hot chocolate watching all the trick or treaters. I LOVE our nieghborhood!!
