Gabriel is 4 years old

Well Gabriel had his first real birthday PARTY. It was such fun! We did a CARS birthday. All the kids made their own race cars. We played pin the bolt on lightning mcqueen. Gave Lightning a new paint job (using crayons to color in a drawing), helped him fix the road, and even went tractor tippin' with Mater. Gabriel had lots of great presents. And Mommy made him a "1st place" Racing cake. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate, you made Gabriel's 4th a GREAT birthday.

Family pics

Family pictures. This year we just didn't have the money to do family pics. So on Christmas day we got all dressed up in our new clothes, and had my mom shoot a few of us. Thank you mom, I think they turned out great.

Gingerbread Houses

Well this is my first experience with trying to make a gingerbread house with the boys. It was actually quite comical and a lot of fun. Our Peninsula mommies group decided to get together and make gingerbread houses for a playdate. So about 7 of us brought our babies to Shyan's house, and Shyan was nice enough to make the house pieces with a mold before we came. All we had to do was put it together. Or so we thought. 7 mommies 8 toddlers and 4 babies. And while the mom's were trying hold our walls steady and wait for the icing to dry our kids were running wild thru Shyan's house. It was really funny, it took forever to get the houses to stand up, and some of us didn't even manage that. And after all that effort most of us didn't even want the kids to touch them to decorate them. I have proof that mine was standing and decorated, but by the time I got home the roof had slid off. Oh Well, it was a fun experience that I will always remember!!

Hampton Holly Days Parade

Well we got our boys all bundled up, and went to the parade. I am glad we did, it was nice to get out of the house for a bit. Especially since we have had colds all week, and some of us still have them, yuck!!! The marching bands were our favorite, Noah seemed to like the firedogs, he waved at them when they went past. And the kid behind us seemed to like the taste of our stroller, LOL!!!

We went to the Hampton Holly days Christmas Parade last night. The boys had so much fun. And the Drum Major made a big impression on Gabriel. So when we got home, it was a parade all over again before bedtime.

Thanksgiving at Our House

Well this was the first time we had Thanksgiving at our house. We were very excited to have family here, but I can't say it went off without a hitch. The meal was good, and so were the guests, but the hosts on the other hand were pretty miserable. THE STOMACH BUG of the century decided to take a run thru our house during our thanksgiving weekend. I spent the whole weekend worrying over the inevitable which was that we were going to give THE STOMACH BUG to our guests. Which of course WE DID, even after all of my diligent cleaning. But stomach bug aside, we enjoyed our family and had a good time together.
