1ST DAY OF SCHOOL

Gabriel's first day was a little stressful for mommy, but I will try to make the long story short for the blog. We missed the bus that morning, because we had been given the wrong time for the bus stop. The first picture is of us leaving the house for the bus. So Gabriel was late for school, but we made it, FINALLY. The second picture is Ms. Loving putting a name tag on Gabriel. He was so excited to be there, he completely forgot about telling mommy and Noah bye. And then the last picture is Mommy and Noah waiting for Gabriel to get off of the bus. Daddy was there too, he is taking the picture. Gabriel never got off of the bus, because there was a mix up at school and they thought I was going to pick him up. So the poor little guy didn't get to ride the bus on his first day. But he did on his second day. The last picture is a little fuzzy because I didn't have daddy with me the next day to take a picture or hold on to Noah. So between trying to help Gabriel off of the bus, holding Noah's hand, and snapping a picture, mommy didn't manage focusing very well.

Gabe is so excited to be in preschool. I just can't believe that my little man has grown so much!!! He is so smart, it is such fun to watch him learn new things. And I have to admit that having a little bit of one on one time with my little buddy Noah has been wonderful!!!

CPO Day

Last weekend we went to CPO day at King's Dominion. I spent most of the time watching Jason from afar. But the boys and I had fun all the same. They found some new buddies. Two of the other Selectees wives were there and they both had boys around the age of our boys. They all rode rides together in the kiddie land while we waited for daddies. But when Daddy was all finished the boys and I were all tuckered out. We did get an ice cream together and Mommy got a Henna tattoo on her big ole' belly. I would post a pic but I don't have a good one, and I am a little embarrassed of all the stretch marks to post a pic on the net of my belly. But it does look really neat.

Gabriel got to meet his teacher at open house last night. He was so excited to see his classroom. He found out where his book bag goes. And He met his teachers Ms. Myers and Ms. Loving. We decided that we really like Ms. Loving's name. He even got to check out the school bus that he will be riding.

Backpack Backpack

I started the boys on a new little behavior system about a month ago. Basically they earn/lose stars during the day, and at the end of the day if they have enough stars they get a sticker on a prize chart. There was about a months worth of spots to fill up on their prize chart. Well they finally made it!!!! And the prize that they have been so faithfully trying to earn... BACKPACKS. Not just any backpacks. Mickey mouse and Incredibles backpacks, with their names embroidered on them. Noah earned his first. And after all that work to get their new backpacks they weren't in any hurry to take them off. This is Noah's first day with his new backpack, and he fell asleep on the couch with it on. It was just sooooo cute. Gabriel has his now too but I want to post his first school pic with his backpack on, so I am not going to post a pic of him with it yet.

Noah Cole's Birthday party

Our little buddy Noah Cole turned 2 last week. We had a great time at his birthday party. We did cause a little drama though. Gabriel decided to push the swing with no one in it, and then got distracted and the swing came back and whacked him in the nose, ouch. Needless to say, it gave him a pretty good bloody nose.

Noah Cole really wasn't all that interested in eating his cake, but Gabe and Noah thought it was very tasty, YUMM!! And they were happy to "help" him play with all his new toys.

Tuckered lil' cowboy

Last week, we went to vacation bible school. It started at 6:30 and ended 8:45. We usually didn't make it to bed until 9:30 which is an hour and half past their bedtime. The boys had a great time, but it was an exhausting week for them and for mommy. This is how I found Gabriel one day last week. He just couldn't keep his eyes open one second longer.

Our "make-do" flag

NORFOLK, Va. (Aug. 10, 2007) - Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Joe Campa Jr., speaks to chief selectees' after their initial physical training session at Naval Station Norfolk. Jason came home Thursday night with a last minute project. For the USS Carl Vinson Chief Selectees to be able to PT in front of MCPON Joe Campa Jr. they needed a flag for thier group, and the PT was at 4:45 the next morning. So we came up with a last minute plan for a "make-do" flag, and I rushed to the fabric store to get what I needed. Jason helped me and we made something that would do the job. I was very excited to find out that a picture of the Vinson Chief Selectees was taken with the MCPON, and my flag ended up in the picture. How cool is that!!! BTW, Jason can be seen in this picture too, but you have to search for him :) He looks very tired!

Picnic with the Chief Selectees

Have you heard the News?
