When I was little my mom used to make these snacks for me. They are called smiles. Two apple slices, for lips, lots of mashmallow teeth, and peanut butter to hold it all in place. It looks pretty great, and it tastes just as good.
The boys and I were playing pretend the other day, when Gabriel informed me that he wanted to live in a "giant giant castle" So I decided that if we were going to live in a castle then we needed crowns. We had our crowns and our capes on for these pics of King Gabriel, Princess Mommy, and Prince Noah.
My mom bought the boys an inflatable airplane the other day. So we took it ourside to play this morning, and I managed to get this just priceless picture of noah. For you photoshop geeks out there, I used a warming filter on this one and the dandelion pics. I also turned this one black and white, but I have yet to decide which I like best. The red hat and red plane is kind of neat.
The daffodils in our yard are blooming and they are just beautiful. Also notice the tree behind noah. I love that tree, I don't know what kind of tree it is but it is huge and blooms with these tiny pink flowers. It is very majestic looking in the spring. The only bad thing about it is the bees love it just as much as I do. It is swarmed full of bees, so many that the sound of them is a constant low roar. I love spring, it makes for beautiful pictures.
One of my favorite things to do, since I have a digital camera, is to "just snap"!! I love taking the boys outside and letting them play, giggle, and run, while I stand in the middle of all the ruckus and snap pictures. Most of the time I get pictures of the side of thier face, or blurry pics of them running. But everytime, I get a few beautiful shots full of emotion and character. These are my favorites from the last time I did this.
The boys have just discovered blues clues. So anyway I was at the store, and found these little notebooks on sale. You would have thought I had gotten the greatest toy on earth. The played with them all day, and completely filled them up. Well Gabriel asked his mamaw for a new notebook, and she promised him a Big Red notebook like Joe has on blues clues. He talked non stop about his notebook all day. Mamaw got off work late, and had to hunt down a notebook. Knowing that if she came home without one she would be in Big trouble. So finally found these notebooks, and sure enough, she walked in at 10 o'clock and gabriel was in his bed listening for her. He hadn't gone to sleep because he was waiting for his big red notebook. He ended up sleeping with it because mommy wouldn't let him get out of bed to play with it until morning. So it is thier new favorite thing. They sit on the couch and draw clues. And every once in awhile, mommy joins in the game. I made up some paper pawprints and I hide them around the house, they have such a big time finding all the clues.
Gabriel and I decided to pretend to be clowns. I used magic markers to color his face. It was so much fun. Then we cleaned up in the bathtub. Ah, but now the after effects of that little game. 20 minutes after getting all cleaned up in the bathtub, Gabriel found a stray marker, and decided to be a clown again. And he wanted brother to play too. Uh Oh!!, oh well, it was fun the second time around too.
