Pig Pickin'

Our Church hosted a Pig Pickin'(BBQ Dinner) for other area churches. We had such a great time. It was our first annual Pig Pickin' and they had a great turn out. Everybody dressed up in our hillbilly clothes. They had bluegrass music (Dad is the one with the straw hat, playing the dulcimer) and lots of good food. The decorations were so fun, we had an outhouse, lots of pigs, and longjohns on the clothesline. But Gabriel and Noah thought the best part was the CORN ON THE COB.

Fishing on the Lake

I took Gabriel on his Very first Fishing trip on the Lake. My Dad (Papaw) has a new boat. He took Mommy, Daddy, and Gabriel out a few mornings ago. These are pics I took while we were waiting for the "Guys" to get the boat in the water.

I'm a GRADUATE!!!!

Yea for me!!! I finally did it! I graduated with my Associate in Arts today. It was long in coming. Of course I did manage to get married and have 2 kids in the process. But I finally made it happen. Yippee!!!

Our New House

This is going to be our new house, hopefully. We close on June 1st. It is in Newport News, Va. There is a great fenced in backyard. It has hardwood floors throughout. We are very excited to have found such a beautiful house in our price range. And I am thoroughly looking forward to putting a porch swing on my front porch.

Yorktown Beach

On our house hunting trip up to virginia, we spent half a day just enjoying the area. We went down to Yorktown, It was sooooo pretty. And the beach was great, I will definately go back. This was the first time noah had ever been to the beach. And I think the last time we took Gabriel to the beach he was just a babe, so it was his first time too. They loved it. Noah got so excited when a little wave hit his feet he just squealed with joy. Gabriel had so much fun he didn't want to leave. I thought we would never get him out of the sand.

Grandmother's Pedal Car

Grandmother has this pedal car at her house. It has a lot of history. It was hers as a child and she says that she has a pic of every grandchild playing in it. It was the first time we were able to get one of the boys. You can tell from the pics that they think it is the greatest toy ever.

Easter

We spent our Easter at Grandmother's house. It was great fun. We had a delicious dinner, and then we let the kids loose in the yard hunting eggs. Grandmother's yard was great. She let her grass grow and then cut it so it would have patches of tall grass to hide the eggs in. The boys thought it was great. Of course the best part was when they realized that there eggs were full of candy. YUM!

Just me and you

We took the boys down to this little walking park, and had a picnic there. It was a great spot to break out my new camera. And I just love this pic. What sweet little brothers they are. They just looked like they were having a brotherly chat.

Double Teamed

Noah getting dried off, noah in his pj's, noah decides he wants another bath. AAAAH!!! sometimes I feel like I am getting double teamed. I was giving both the boys a bath. I always get noah out first, so I got him out, dried him off, and did the pj's. Now for the other boy, get him out. As I am carrying him thru the gate, noah gets past me. I "throw" gabriel down on the couch, and run after noah. Only to hear a splash just as I get to the bathroom. Noah has decided he wants another bath. I come in the door to see him smiling from ear to ear and he says, "Bath". ugh, time to start this over again. but first I have to get a picture, hehe!!!
