Fun on The 4th

Well we decided to visit Yorktown on the 4th of July. We wanted to see there parade. Well as we waited in the car for over 30 minutes we realized we were missing the parade. But full of detirmination our little caravan of people pressed on. Finally we got parked, IN A BATTLEFIELD, It was a long walk to the town and beach. As we trucked along through the grass with a monster truck double stroller and wheelchair, I began to think maybe this wasn't the brightest idea. But onward we went. I finally begged for a ride on a golfcart for my mom, but the guys had to continue to push the stroller up a grassy hill. Finally we get to town. Lots going on. But it is so HOT. Really it is Just HOT! okay so maybe coming here wasn't the greatest idea, but you know what about 1000 other people had the same idea. So we got lots of Ice Cream, smoothies and Gatorade. We spent some time looking at crafts, listening to music, and getting our feet in the water. Then we hitched a ride on a shuttle and headed home. We had lots of fun at home playing in the kiddie pool. Mommy and Mamaw even got chairs and stuck our feet in the water. Daddy made hamburgers. And We had watermelon for desert. By 8 o'clock though we decided it was to bed with the boys and a movie for us. No fireworks, none of us wanted to head back out into traffic.
