Invention Day!!

Gabriel has decided that he is going to be an inventor when he grows up. While we were camping he drove us nuts saying explaining all of his inventions (about every 10 minutes or so). Of course I love to hear his clever ideas... but he always ends the sentence with "can you help me make that mom?" or starts it "maybe we can buy some" ... rope or wood or glue ..." and then I can make" Well after awhile it is hard to find an answer to his constant queries about inventing. So I came up with a plan on how to encourage the inventing without driving us all crazy. First daddy bought him a graph paper notebook. And everytime he comes up with an idea we tell him that he needs to draw a picture of his invention in his notebook. Then I put a giant bucket in the closet and we started filling it with odds and ends. Yogurt cups, boxes, egg crates, string, ect... We told Gabriel that when the box was full we would have an invention day. Our box just happen to get full about the time Mamaw arrived so we decided to have an Invention Day while she was here. And this is the result :)
