Trip to the Beach

Well Mom and Heather (my niece) are visiting and we decided to take an actual trip to the beach. I have been there several times. Shopped around the beach stuck our feet in. But we had never actually taken a trip to the beach to swim. Noah and Gabriel had a great time splashing thier cousin. But we had to stay right by noah with our eyes on him all the time. He is fearless. And even after falling face first several times he still wanted to walk into the deep water.

more ice cream pics

the ice cream truck

We have an ice cream truck that goes thru our nieghborhood. We have heard it several times, and never got any ice cream. But it came thru a couple of times the other day so we decided to treat the boys. It was exciting. They ran after daddy, picked the one they wanted off of the truck and ran back to show me thier treat. It was a mess!!!! But it sure was fun.

Pity Party

Oh the Drama!!! When Gabriel doesn't get his way he has taken to pouting. My mom used to call them pity parties. I remember my own pouting, and getting so mad when mom would say, "sorry I don't want to come to your pity party" Now I feel like I am getting what I deserve, "what goes around comes around"

Fixing Mommy's Swing

Gabriel is helping Daddy to put mommy's backyard swing together. This is the swing that Jason got me on my birthday the first year we were married. He bought me another swing this year on our anniversary for my new front porch. I love porch swings. This one is beautiful, it is made of teak and it has a rose carved in the back and under the seat. I can't wait till he can get it put up. But I think it is a two person job. So I am hoping my dad can come up and help him hang my swing.

Meeting Family

When we moved here we found out that we had family that lived close by. Jason's Great Aunt and Uncle, Edith and Joe Deml. They came over for a visit. It was wonderful. They are such nice people, and Edith knows a lot about Jason's family history. She brought a picture album and we all looked through it. They were so generous. They brought us a housewarming gift, a mastercard gift card with $100 on it. Wow, how nice was that. And they brought the boys a gift too, the disney dumbo dvd. We really had a wonderful visit. They have invited us to meet the rest of their family in the fall. What fun it is to meet new people and even better to meet people in your family.

Finger Paint

Yesterday, I found our craft box while unpacking. So with mounds of packing paper I decided we could do something fun. So we got out the finger paints. We painted and painted and painted. And then we played in the water house to get all clean. What a fun day.

Fun on The 4th

Well we decided to visit Yorktown on the 4th of July. We wanted to see there parade. Well as we waited in the car for over 30 minutes we realized we were missing the parade. But full of detirmination our little caravan of people pressed on. Finally we got parked, IN A BATTLEFIELD, It was a long walk to the town and beach. As we trucked along through the grass with a monster truck double stroller and wheelchair, I began to think maybe this wasn't the brightest idea. But onward we went. I finally begged for a ride on a golfcart for my mom, but the guys had to continue to push the stroller up a grassy hill. Finally we get to town. Lots going on. But it is so HOT. Really it is Just HOT! okay so maybe coming here wasn't the greatest idea, but you know what about 1000 other people had the same idea. So we got lots of Ice Cream, smoothies and Gatorade. We spent some time looking at crafts, listening to music, and getting our feet in the water. Then we hitched a ride on a shuttle and headed home. We had lots of fun at home playing in the kiddie pool. Mommy and Mamaw even got chairs and stuck our feet in the water. Daddy made hamburgers. And We had watermelon for desert. By 8 o'clock though we decided it was to bed with the boys and a movie for us. No fireworks, none of us wanted to head back out into traffic.

Birthday Buckaroo

Noah had a great birthday. Mamaw and Papaw came to visit. As well as Aunt Teetee and her boyfriend Todd and Cousin Kasey.
He got a pair of boots, cowboy hat, and sing and shout Elmo from Aunt Teetee and Kasey. And He got a cowboy and horse, and a cowboy book from mommy and Daddy. Grandpa Pete and Grandma got him a razor scuttlebug tricycle. But the BIG present came from Mamaw and Papaw, a radio flyer spring horse. It was so precious to see him bouncing up and down with nothing but boots, hat and diaper on. What Fun!!!

Workin' Hard with Daddy

Daddy had to fix the lawn mower so he could mow the grass before noah's birthday party. It got a little banged up during the move. So Gabriel decided he needed to FIX his too. He got out his "multi-tool" and worked on his mower right beside daddy. They worked hard and finally got things working so I could have a nicely cut yard for the party
